Titicaca Lake - breathtaking lake in South America.

Lake Titicaca is the second largest lake in South America, located in the Altiplano basin (specifically in the northern part), between the stripes of the Andes.
Titicaca is the highest navigable lake, where you can enjoy the large sailing ships. Interestingly the water level in the lake varies from time to time up to five meters. It is tectonic lake, formerly a much larger, but the intense geological processes and reduced the size of the evaporation from the sea to the lake. Reservoir has more than 25 tributaries and on the surface is more than 81 islands, some of which are populated. This place is an interesting tourist attraction and it is certainly a challenge for fans of sailing.
