Castelmezzano - italian town among the rocks.

Italy, one of the most attractive tourist countries in Europe, full of world-class sights, delicious food and encourages sunny weather. It's a proposal for those who list have already passed and are looking for lesser-known places. Italia is to himself that no matter which area you are in, as soon as you step off of the beaten path, we will arrive at a unique place in which breathe from the crowds and feel like a true southern atmosphere. One of those places that seems to be quite detached from reality, is Castelmezzano - a town situated among the rocky, steep slopes.
A trip to Castelmezzano a good idea for a day trip for vacationing in the south of the Italian boot. It is located in the province of Potenza, which belongs to the region of Basilicata. The history associated with this place dates back to the VI-V century BC, when Greek settlers founded the town in the nearby valley Maudoro. Saracen invasions in the tenth century forced people to look for a new location.
